DESCRIPTION:
VIEW A – Sliding
Panels feature four 19" (47.5cm)
wide lined panels mounted on a decorative double curtain rod. The panels extend beyond each side of the window molding/opening onto the wall by
at least 16" (40cm). The contrast
panels slide on the back rod and provide a border effect along the front
panels. This treatment can be made
for windows up to 38" (95cm) wide with the back panels sliding closed for
privacy. For windows 39" to 64"
(97.5-160cm), both front and back panels slide closed for privacy, leaving
empty wall space on each side of the window beneath the rods.
VIEW B – Shutter
Swag features a drapery lined
bias cut swag trimmed with decorative cording along the bottom edge. Depth of swag is approximately 13" to
15" (32.5-37.5cm). This treatment
can be mounted outside the window molding/opening or inside window frames with
2" (5cm) of depth clearance. The
swag is easily stapled to a 1" X 3" (2.5cm X 7.5cm) board for outside mounts
and a 1" X 2" (2.5cm X 5cm) pine board for inside mounts. This swag can be made for window widths
25-47" (62.5-117.5cm).
VIEW C – Suede
Valance and Contrast Shade feature
an unlined faux suede valance and a lined shade. Valance is cut into a scalloped shape along the bottom
edge. Side pleats and extra large
buttons provide a decorator touch.
There are four finished valance depths - 10", 11", 12", or 13" (26.3,
27.5, 30, 35cm). The shade
features rows of plastic rings stitched to the back and threaded with roman
shade cording, enabling shade to be raised and lowered. A button and tassel complete the
look. Your fabric width determines
the width shade you can make as there is no seaming – see Fabric
Requirement Charts for size range.
Valance and shade are easily stapled to a 1" X 3" (2.5cm X 7.5cm) board.
VIEW D – Easy
Ring Valance features a self
lined or contrast lined rectangle of fabric that is folded and stitched into
easy pleats. A decorative ribbon
band highlights the bottom edge.
The valance is mounted on a decorative rod/pole with rings. This valance can be made for windows
32-100" (80-250cm) wide.
VIEW D – Lined
Side Panels are stationary, made from one panel of contrast fabric
each, providing a decorative touch at the sides of your window. A ribbon band highlights the inner edges
of each panel. The panels are
mounted on a 1" (2.5cm) wide curtain rod hidden from view beneath the rod/pole
mounted valance.
SUGGESTED FABRICS:
VIEWS A*, B,
C Shade, D Valance, D Side Panels*: Mid-weight decorator fabrics such as cottons, linens
and cotton blends, jacquards, pique or other similar weaves work well.
VIEW C Suede Valance: Choose a
mid weight synthetic suede fabric only, stiff enough for the bottom edge to be
cut into shape and left unfinished.
*Select a contrast fabric for VIEW A Back Panels and
VIEW D Side Panels.
SUGGESTED LINING:
VIEWS A, B, C Shade, D
Side Panels: Select a white or off-white drapery lining
fabric. Sun resistant or water
resistant linings are recommended.
VIEW C Suede Valance is unlined.
VIEW D Valance can be self lined with face fabric or lined in a
contrast fabric since the back of the valance shows in the pleats when mounted.
PURCHASE LINING SAME WIDTH
AS FACE FABRIC, IF AVAILABLE.
