Make a SWAG AND JABOT Treatment in 2 hours or less!
Description
The Swag and Jabot features a Swag lined in off-white drapery lining, two side Jabots and two Trumpets (View A only) lined in contrast lining. The bottom edge of each piece is highlighted with decorative trim. The depth at the center of the Swag is 17" (42.5cm) and the side Jabot length ranges from 30" to 54" (75 to 135cm). All treatments are easily stapled to a 1" × 3" (2.5 × 7.5cm) mounting board. This treatment can be made for window widths from 30" to 44" (75 to 110cm).
View A features a Swag mounted beneath folded side Jabots with two Trumpets mounted on top.
View B features a Swag mounted over folded side Jabots.
View C features a Swag mounted beneath gathered Jabots.
Fabric Store:
- Decorator Fabric - Select a solid or print fabric. Be sure to read next section on Selecting Fabric and Trims before purchasing.
- Swag Lining - Select a white or off-white drapery lining fabric for the Swag. Sun resistant or water resistant linings are recommended. Purchase lining the same width as your decorator fabric, if available.
- Jabots and View A Trumpet Lining - Select a contrast decorator fabric for the Jabots and Trumpets as this lining will be seen from the front of your treatment. Purchase contrast fabric the same width as your decorator fabric, if possible.
- Decorative Trim - This is what weve featured on the pattern envelope: View A - Fringe Trim, View B - Scalloped Braid Trim, View C - Fringed Braid Trim. You can use any of these trims for any of the views. Read next section on Trims to learn more.
- View A - Two 1" to 11/2" diameter (2.5 to 3.75cm) decorative or self-cover buttons.
- Thread - Select one that closely matches the background color of the decorator fabric.
- Optional - Specially formulated fabric glue for gluing trim to treatment - our favorite method for applying trim!
- Optional - Fusible webbing tape to match print seams and seal openings.
