DESCRIPTION:

VIEW A - Corrine Valance is fully lined and features a large center pleat section and two smaller side pleat sections. Decorative trim highlights the bottom edge and an optional piping strip made from face fabric can be added to the top edge. The finished depth of the valance is 18" (45cm). This valance is easily stapled to a 1" × 3" (2.5cm × 7.5cm) pine mounting board and can be made for window widths 26" to 70" (65–175cm).

VIEW B - Kristine Valance is fully lined and features a gently curved center section and two smaller curved side sections. Decorative banding is placed 1/2" (1.3cm) above the bottom edge and buttons highlight the pleat lines. An optional piping strip made from face fabric can be added to the top edge. The finished depth of the valance is 18" (45cm). This valance is easily stapled to a 1" × 3" (2.5cm × 7.5cm) pine mounting board and can be made for window widths 24" to 52" (60–130cm).

VIEW C - Kelsey Valance is fully lined in face or contrast fabric and features consecutive pleats at both ends of the valance. Decorative trim highlights the bottom edge and an optional piping strip made from face fabric can be added to the top edge. The finished center depth of the valance is 14" (35cm) the side length is 21" (52.5cm). This valance is easily stapled to a 1" × 3" (2.5cm × 7.5cm) pine mounting board and can be made for window widths 28–70" (70–175cm).

VIEW D - Kimberly Valance features a curved center with separate gathered side jabots. The center is lined in drapery lining and the jabots are lined in contrast fabric. Decorative trim highlights the bottom edges of all pieces. The finished center depth of the valance is 17" (42.5cm) and the jabot side length is 24" (52.5cm). This valance is easily stapled to a 1" × 3" (2.5cm × 7.5cm) pine mounting board or a 1" × 4" (2.5cm × 10cm) board if mounting side panels beneath the valance and can be made for window widths 34–54" (85–135cm).

VIEW D - Side Panels are stationary and provide a decorative touch at the sides of your window. The fully lined panels feature a rod pocket for a 1" (2.5cm) wide curtain rod that is mounted beneath the valance. Panels can be made in three lengths - floor length, breaking on the floor or puddled.

SUGGESTED FABRICS:

ALL VIEWS: Decorator fabrics such as cottons, linens, cotton blends, jacquards, chenille and light weight upholstery fabrics. Silk-like polyester fabrics can also be used. NOTE: Pure silk is not recommended since silk fabrics are prone to sun damage and require interlining. Interlining instructions are not included in this pattern.

SUGGESTED LINING:

VIEWS A, B or D*: Select a white or off-white drapery lining fabric. Sun resistant or water resistant linings are recommended.

VIEW C: Valance is lined in face fabric or a contrast fabric. We suggest selecting a solid contrast fabric as prints or stripes may show through the front of the valance in sunny windows.

*VIEW D: Purchase a contrast fabric to line the jabots. Drapery lining is required for the center of the valance.
